The Four Nomadic Hippies were certainly ready for their first-ever FPHL action, but they were ill-prepared for all the cowbells that went along with it... so much cowbell. Our time in Columbus was more than adequate, and the move there got us out of Macon. Sure... we look happy, but this was before the Macon Mayhem bombarded our hockey souls with some of the worst hockey we have ever seen. I never got the AHL goal judge to let me operate the sirens and lights... and I did ask at least a dozen times. The first period action at Wells Fargo Arena for the Iowa Wild/Stockton Heat game certainly left the crowd enthralled as the two teams combined for six goals and 38 minutes of penalties (including two fights), leading a first time hockey attendee sitting near us to exclaim repeatedly that hockey was the greatest sport ever... thanks man, but we like already knew tha
